Hi, I’m Stephanie! I love my fuzzy pig slippers, cozy clothes, and delicious food. I’ve always loved to eat, but I didn’t grow up learning how to cook. My specialty in high school was English muffin pizzas. My college days were spent enjoying the food that the cook in my sorority would make. So it was a bit of a wake-up call when I found myself trying to woo my husband with my nonexistent cooking skills after college. I searched the internet for recipes that would align with the delicious visions I had in my head, but the end result always fell short. After countless underwhelming dinners and straight-up recipe failures, it became my mission to learn the fundamentals of cooking to improve my cooking skills and to share this knowledge with other home cooks. The easy-to-follow recipes I’ve created transform common ingredients into restaurant-quality dishes.

I love to use simple (and sometimes surprising) flavor enhancers to add a gourmet flair to home-cooked meals. I enjoy conjuring up delicious flavor combinations with the variety of seasonings in my trusty spice rack. I swear by shredding cheese from a block for the best flavor and texture. I’ve learned that tenderizing chicken, pork, and cube steak is a game-changer and that overworking ground beef is a no-no. I now know how to avoid gummy pasta in one-pot recipes and how to make the creamiest mashed potatoes on earth. I’ve even learned a few chef-inspired tricks that are simple, but show-stopping.
